Skill based education.

Tossing and turning in bed Ahmad had no idea how to shape his dream into reality. He wanted to make a difference in the lives of the people he loved, but his ambition was barred by the fact that he had recently graduated from college. Due to the inadequate skill set, he had no clue, how he could be useful without waiting for his impending bachelor’s degree to be complete. He wondered, was there no way of learning certain skills and being empowered enough to grab the chance to earn and live his dream? Some time ago, the answer to this question might have been a No, but now things have positively changed and the answer turns out to be Yes!!!

It is totally possible to set the student body free from this handicapped situation by offering them courses that can prepare them in one semester sufficiently, so that they may pursue their dreams. Old school ideas of getting a degree first and then stepping into the outer world have gone with the wind. An ideal and constructive approach is to add those courses in the initial semester that can provide the basic tools that they may need to ignite the fire.

Adding courses like Graphic Designing, Web Development, Content Creation and Creative Suite can bring life to a previously dead dream. When the students are empowered enough by learning fundamental practical skills, they can live the spirit of an entrepreneur. When a student knows how to make his own website, and can make use of his creative faculties by bringing out alluring graphics and coming up with the right pitch, he can materialize his business idea into a breathing reality.

Additionally, if the offered courses are more practical in nature it perpetually removes the question of practicality from a student’s mind. For instance, now a student does not have to sit back and wonder why he is reading about marketing strategies, with a newer, modified style of teaching the student can know how these marketing strategies can actually help him in real life to boost his ambition. Confidence and competence go hand in hand. A successful candidate has both of these qualities functional in his personality. When a student knows he has the theoretical knowledge and on top of it, he knows how to implement his learning in real life, a student will feel more confident in his skin. Confidence acts as a catalyst for an intelligent student and it motivates him to prove his metal. When a student is gifted with practical knowledge and is further assisted by the instructor through supervision, it builds a healthy learning environment, in which he feels free to share his idea and receive feedback. It opens the doorway for a student to test his creativity and get the required assistance so that he can actually hunt down opportunities that can help him in becoming capable enough to support himself or meet his needs and it encourages him to believe in his dreams more than before!
